June 2026 Hackathon Radar — 22, Verified

· 1 min read

A viral "June 2026 Hackathon Tier List" made the rounds, so I did the boring part: opened all 22, read each page, and checked the dates and prizes myself. The table below is what survived that pass — sortable, filterable, and stamped as of June 4, 2026 (deadlines move; treat this as a snapshot, not a live feed).

By default it shows the enterable ones (open or upcoming). Flip "Show closed/dead" to see the rest, and the corrections box at the bottom lists what the original list got wrong.

What the viral list got wrong (10)
  • Google Cloud Rapid Agent: Tier list said $50K; the live page shows $60K (six partner buckets), and June 11 is the deadline, not the start date.
  • Arbitrum Open House (Buildathon): The '$415K' figure is the whole Open House program; this online Buildathon is $115K, and the in-person Founder House (Jul 10–12) is separate.
  • Mantle Turing Test: Tier list said $100K; it's $120K total ($100K is the current Phase 2). Deadline is Jun 15, 15:59 UTC.
  • UiPath AgentHack: Devpost lists $50K; UiPath's own materials state $48K.
  • HackerNoon Proof of Usefulness: The '$150K+' headline is mostly software credits — only about $20K is cash.
  • LaunchHacks V: Dates are Jun 19–22 (not 20–22); the '$17K' headline is mostly placeholder — real cash tiers are $50–$200.
  • Microsoft Agent Academy: Already closed — submissions ended June 2.
  • Sui Overflow 2026: Tier list said '$500K+ / June 30'; the real pool is ~$1M+ and submissions already closed — June 30 is the winner announcement.
  • Casper Agentic Buildathon: Doesn't exist: there is no '$150K Casper Agentic Buildathon' closing June 30 — the closest real Casper event closed Jan 2026.
  • Vara Agents Arena: Closed — Season 1 froze June 2 and is in judging; the tier list's 'June 6' was wrong.

How to read the fit column

"Fit" is a neutral relevance score for a builder working in AI agents, security, and Solana — 🎯🎯🎯 means it sits squarely in that lane, ➖ means it's off it. It's a lens, not a verdict; a $2M XPRIZE is still a $2M XPRIZE regardless of how many targets it has.

What jumped out

  • The deadlines cluster. Three of the strongest land on June 15 — worth planning around if you only have one build in you.
  • "Headline prize" ≠ "cash." A couple of the biggest numbers are mostly software credits or whole-program totals; the corrections box untangles those.
  • Verify before you commit. Four entries on the original list were already closed or didn't exist. A tier list is a starting point, not a source of truth.
